"Providing and Utilizing Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and EMG in the PT Practice as Primary Care Providers"
Bart McDonald, PT, MPT, ECS, FMSK, is the founder of Superior Physical Therapy. Bart graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 2000. He opened his first outpatient clinic in 2004, and since then, Superior Physical Therapy has since grown to eight clinics across Southeastern Idaho. After earning his ABPTS certification in Clinical Electrophysiologic Testing (ECS) in 2020, and completing a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in 2021, Bart created Diagnostic Solutions, a group that performs electrodiagnostic (EMG) and musculoskeletal ultrasound testing. Diagnostic Solutions performs diagnostic tests for physical therapy clinics, and physicians in the area and has expanded to perform testing inside of orthopedic surgeons’ and podiatry offices. In January of 2025, Mr. McDonald partnered with Mountain Land Physical Therapy and is the Director of Clinical Diagnostic Services for Mountain Land Partners in Utah, Idaho and Montana. He is passionate about building the PT profession to become the musculoskeletal primary care providers, accurately finding the true diagnosis for each patient, and changing lives.
