APTA Utah Fall Conference 2023
This year, our conference is being held on October 27-28, 2023, and as part of the conference, we are holding a silent auction to raise money for our Political Action Committee Fund. We need your help! You can bring items to auction or reach out to local businesses for donations to bring. This money is used to improve health care and access to physical therapy throughout the state of Utah. Here are some recent legislative wins for physical therapy in Utah:
- PTs can now perform dry needling.
- PTs can now order imaging of X-rays and MRIs.
- CEU improvements.
- PTs can see patients by direct access without the need for a physician referral.
We anticipate a busy legislative session next year. Some areas we expect to be active in the session include:
- Pre-authorization limits
- Reimbursements
- Copays
- PTs role in disability parking permits.
