Leave your laptop, bring your backpack! August 2-4 join us on the trail in Pocatello, ID for a hands-on, scenario-based Wilderness Physical Therapy course. This 2.0 CEU approved course presents a unique opportunity for PTs who love the outdoors and want to apply their skills to the rapidly growing field of Wilderness Physical Therapy. Participants will learn innovative treatment approaches and problem-solving skills applicable for austere environments, putting their skills to the test in real-life scenarios outside. This course focuses on clinical reasoning in the wilderness environment, knowledge for specialty practice, professionalism in the backcountry, leadership, and patient management. The Wilderness Physical Therapy Educators are professional educators who have extensive experience as PTs and Wilderness EMTs in austere patient care. The course is offered in conjunction with Idaho State University CEWT.
